Encounter at Farpoint (Star Trek: The Next Generation) by David Gerrold Review

Encounter at Farpoint is based on the first two-hour episode of the television show Star Trek: The Next Generation. This book follows the U.S.S. Enterprise™ on its way to Cygnus IV, the edge of the known galaxy. There the characters will learn the truth about Farpoint Station, a star base facility built by the population of Cygnus IV, a star base of incomparable size and complexity.

Nevertheless, the book is well-written, as it describes the characters flawlessly. It gives some extra character details and some insight to their thoughts, which are really interesting.

Just like the TV Show this book is full of mystery and it makes us think if we as humans are that much evolved or if it is just all in our heads.

Overall, not a bad read, pretty fast, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Recommend it, not only to people who have watch the TV Show but to every sci-fi fan out there.

Keep on reading.
