Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez Review

‘’On the day they were going to kill him, Santiago Nasar got up at five-thirty in the morning to wait for the boat the bishop was coming on.’’

It is a brilliant book, it is just brilliant. I had never read a García Marquez book and I am not sure if it was the right one to start with. It wasn’t fast passed at all (at least for me) and it just kept building up and by the time I finished I thought I was going to explode.

Even thought it was not easy for me to read this book because of Gabriel García Márquez’s writing (which for me was extremely difficult), I really enjoyed the story, it is an amazing book and I’m hoping to read another one of his masterpieces soon.

“There had never been a death more foretold.”
